HCM Data Scramble Tool


The HR Master Data Scramble Tool provides the ability to ensure that sensitive HR Master Data in your SAP Development or Quality Assurance systems is protected, without the need to use SAP security to restrict access to data. The tool updates all the master data fields that could be used to identify an employee, ensuring that employee pay conditions and sensitive personal data is not visible to any development/testing resources. This in turn allows thorough testing using realistic data, without divulging any sensitive personal information.

The scrambling process uses a reference table of over 1000 realistic names and addresses, which can be replaced with your own data if required.

Employee data scrambling options include:

  • Name
  • Email Address
  • ESS/MSS User ID
  • Birth Date
  • Address
  • Bank Account
  • Tax File Number
  • Basic Pay



Also provided:

  • the ability to include customer specific scrambling requirements (for example sensitive data contained in custom developed infotypes)
  • built-in safety mechanisms to prevent accidental data scrambling in a productive SAP environment
